Treat Your Hypertension...
There is no doubt in this world that life is much more stressful than it used to be. More people are out of work than there used to be and of the people that work, most of them are working much longer and much harder days than ever. When we spend the majority of our time concerning ourselves with making money and paying our bills a few things fall to the wayside. Paying attention to our health and well being has slipped on the list of priorities from being towards the top to hanging out way at the bottom. One of the major health risks these days is hypertension. We will cover the basics of what it is and how to get it under control if in fact it makes its way to the higher levels. Pulmonaryhypertension can be a problem but it can be treated easily with a little knowledge and effort.
What is hypertention? What causes hypertinsion and what are the major signs and symptoms?
Hypertension is simply put high blood pressure. Blood pressure is the force that your blood exerts on the inside walls of your body's blood vessels. The way the body works is that the heart pumps blood through all of the blood vessels of you body. The harder it is for the blood to make its way around the harder the heart has to work to get it circulating around properly. For there to be high blood presure then there has to be normal. Actually there is a scale that doctors use to determine if you have normal or high blod pressure.
The levels of blood pressure from normal on up are below:
Normal: Less than 120/80
Prehypertension: 120-139/80-89
Stage 1 hypertensin: 140-159/90-99
Stage 2 highpertension: 160 and above/100 and above
Those of you that notice that you have highbloodpresure should immediately speak to your doctor to find out how to go about lowering it to normal levels. The faster you begin working on it the faster it will lower and the less health effects it will have.
What Are the Main Causes of Hypertension?
Unfortunately in science we do not have all of the answers so to pinpoint exactly what the cause is would be hard but we do know a handful of factors that you should be aware of:
Smokers tend to have high blood pressere
People that consume high quantities of sodium tend to get hibloodpressure
Individuals that have a higher than average amount of stress in their life tend to have hypertenson
Genetics play a huge part in your hypertension odds
You need to know what to look for and the major signs of high blood pressure are headaches constantly, constant exhaustion and fatigue, trouble seeing clearly, chest pain and toughness breathing and even blood in the urine. These are symptoms that are commonly associated with other things, which is why it is a good idea to have a doctor make the hypertension diagnosis. If you are like me then you will not take action unless you know there are real dangers in ignoring the warning signs. OK, here they are. If you continue to let your high blood pressure skyrocket out of control then you are at a much higher risk for developing a heart attack, heart failure, a stroke and worse, death. Bear in mind that the body will not just tell you that you are at risk, sometimes the victims of hypertension are not even showing signs which is why you need to have your blood pressure checked regularly.
The main treatment for hipertension is change of lifestyle and drug therapy. Under the lifestyle category you should quit smoking, lose weight, cut down on your salt intake and increasing your fresh food intake like fruits and vegetables, exercise regularly and just plain live better.
